Bariloche Multi-sport TripsBariloche Expedition is a true expedition showcasing the magnificent scenery south of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. During this 6-day pure adventure, we sleep in tents and get off the beaten tracks. We also kayak in the emerald waters of the Mascardi lake, hike through valleys and along the ridge from where we have an impressive view of Mount Tr onador and the Andes. After mountain biking along the single-tracks of the Manso River Valley, we finish our tour on the Chile-Argentina border.

Day by day itinerary:

Day 1:
Bariloche kayak toursArrive at Bariloche airport and transfer to Hotel. Introduction of guides, check equipment and Welcome Dinner.

Day 2:

The first stage of the expedition includes breakfast and transfer to lake Mascardi in order to start kayaking. You will have a talk about safety and equipment . We will kayak along its coasts, discovering its bays and circumnavigating the island “Corazón” . Once we are in Tronador branch with its emerald water, we can see the peaks of Mount Tronador with its glaciers and endless snow in the distance. We will camp by the shore of the lake.

Day 3:
After having breakfast, we will put the equipment in order and kayak the last part of Tronador branch up to lake Mascardi where the river “Manso” flows into. We’ll leave the kayaks there to continue on foot following up “Azul” river to lake Homónimo. This valley has some steepy and rocky terrain between “Bonete” and “Punta Negra” mountains. Camping nearby lake Azul .

Day 4:
Patagonia Active vacationsThen, hiking stage comes, going up from lake Azul to the col that joins the hills Cristal and Capitan, from where you will enjoy the deep blue colour of the lake and the view of the Tristeza branch towards the North, leaving Cº Bonete behind. We’ll pass lake Jujuyand go up a bit more up to the ridge that goes down from Cº Punta Negra, in order to descend to lake Illon, where we’ll camp.

Day 5:
The expedition also includes ascent to the hill Mar de Piedras with a beautiful view to Mount Tronador and the neighbouring mountains. We’ll have lunch in the peak and then go down to the campsite. We’ll get ready for the following day and have the afternoon free to enjoy the beaches and the water of this small paradisiacal lagoon.

Day 6:
Afterwards, we’ll go hiking up to the viewpoint “ la Mirada del Doctor”; you’ll have time to see the landscape from that rocky hill visited by condors that nest in its neighbouring walls. From that point we’ll start the most wonderful stage of the expedition, we’ll descend through a steep wall with the help of ropesup to lake Frey, where you’ll enjoy abseiling 300 mts/900 ft. and landing on rocky terraces. Some inflatable canoes will be waiting us to explore the lake and then descend on foot following Frey riverside up to Nahuel Huapi lake in the Tristeza branch. Camping will be ready.

Day 7:
Finally, we’ll kayak Tristeza branch, where you’ll see some falls and vertical walls descend to the lake and its remote beaches become the best place to have lunch or rest. We’ll arrive to Lopez Bay, where our private transfer will be waiting to take us to Bariloche.
Celebration dinner included as well.
