Cycling adventure tours in Patagonia

It is the most beautiful mountain biking tour trail in the area. To the southwest of Nahuel Huapi national park, in Manso river valley.

Itinerary:

We start at San Carlos de Bariloche, from your hotel, we drive southwards, driving along lakes: Gutiérrez, Mascardi, Guillelmo. After 70 km we detour on a gravel road heading West until we reach the first hanging bridge over Manso river. Crystal clear waters with blue and green hues characterize this last section of Lower Manso river which waters flow to the Pacific ocean.


There we set our mountain bikes and start cycling. We cross the hanging bridge and get into the Manso river valley on the right river bank.

We go through local people farms, with great views to the neighboring mountains Cerro Bastion and Cerro Ventisqueros. It is an easy trail surrounded by vegetation. We have the river always at our left. We make a few stops, there are small streams we cross and some fallen trees in the way.


The last section of the trail it is a little bit steeper and with some more obstacles in the way until we get to the second hanging bridge. After 22 km mountain biking we arrive to an amazing sandy beach, a magic place.

There we stop and rest for a while before continuing our last leg of the circuit to the boarder crossing sign which divides Argentina and Chile for those who are too tired for biking may do this section with the support vehicle. After 10 km mountain biking, the valley wide opens and we get an unbelievable view at the far end corner of Argentina. Some photos, relax, etc...

From there we drive with the support vehicle to the second hanging bridge where a typical patagonian juicy barbecue (asado patagonico) is waiting for us... In the afternoon we return to San Carlos de Bariloche.

Includes: Transfer, mountain biking guides, Mountain bike, helmet, lunch (patagonian asado - barbecue), afternoon snack service plus energetic extra meals during the cycling (cereal bars, candies, juices) communication equipment, individual water bottle - canteen
Not Included: Transfer and meals not mentioned in this program, personal equipment

Equipment - clothing: small day backpack, comfortable sport cloths (tights if possible), tennis shoes (sneakers), wind breaker or fleece, sunblock lotion.
