Day by day itinerary:


Day 1:
Pick up at your hotel in Bariloche and private transfer to Lopez bay. We start our kayaking expedition setting up all our kayaking and camping equipment. We will drive to our starting point: Bahía López, which is 30 km away from Bariloche to the West. Previous to our departure we will have a safety paddling instruction meeting and we will describe you the whole kayaking expedition itinerary. We then get to the sea kayaks paddling thruogh crystal clear waters further to this special spot of the Nahuel Huapi national park where the López and Capilla mountain guard the entrance to the Tristeza lake branch, just a few minutes after we depart.

Slowly we paddle through its 15 Km of length passing along waterfalls and amazing views of Mount Tronador (3484 mts.) with its eternal snow caps and some vertical wall coast. At the end of the Tristeza branch there is a beautiful sand beach where we set up our camping site for the night. During the afternoon we take a short hike to a nearby waterfall called Victoria. At dusk we enjoy dinner by the lake shore.

Day 2:

Brazo Tristeza sea kayaking BarilocheAfter a hearty breakfast we set out hiking to Frey lake, where we have to trek along the same named river to reach the lake. A beautiful waterfall and leafy Andean forest will nicely surprise us.

Frey lake it is surrounded by granite walls and the Constitución mountain, Mar de Piedras mountain and Capitán mountain. We hike back to our camping where we have lunch and the set up all our equipment to start our way back with our sea kayaks to Bahía López. From there we drive back to San Carlos de Bariloche to your lodging.
