Its landscape, flora, fauna and history beside the kayaking enthusiasts will be the protagonists of this unique adventure. Paddling 320 km in 13 days with wild surroundings where only the silent, non polluting strength of the kayakers will meet at the heart of the northern Patagonia. Join the greatest sea kayaking expedition of Argentina starting at San Carlos de Bariloche.

The expedition

The round trip of Nahuel Huapi lake is a great sea kayaking expedition paddling along the coastline of the fifth larger lake in Argentina. we kayak in cold waters mostly near the coast. The kayaks we use are double with great stability and great storage room for the load. Each sea kayak has required safety equipment also there is motor boat for support and safety sailing along us the whole trip.

The expedition is 320 Km./ 172 nautical miles, it is 13 days of paddling in the lake plus one day for setting up before starting the kayaking expedition. For 5 nights we stay in a up standard hostería, 10 nights at organized camp sites with no bathroom facilities and at local settlements. The stop over spots may vary due to weather conditions or at leader guide choice according to the situation. You need an open mind and good will for adjusting.

We paddle from 25 to 35 Km. (13,5/ 18,5 nautical miles) daily, about 5 to 7 hours daily divided in two legs: one in the morning the other in the afternoon. We take into account stops for resting and hydrate always.

At the stop over spots you have at choice a hike to explore the area, swimming, relaxing, photographing or simply rest.

The expedition also is a rewarding experience for each member of the group, not just for doing this kayaking traverse but also a way of training or keep fit for outdoor and or kayaking activities.

The ultimate kayaking expedition on Nahuel Huapi lake is the most important expedition for sea kayaking in Patagonia.

Day 1 Arrive to San Carlos de Bariloche, transfer to hotel
Day 2 Setting up everything for the expedition, safety practice at the lake.
Day 3 starting day for the expedition, paddling from South coast of San Pedro peninsula, Campanario lake branch
Day 4 Paddling on South coastline from Puerto San Carlos to Limay river start.
Day 5 Paddling along North coastline, Huemul peninsula
Day 6 Peninsula Huemul, same name lake branch
Day 7 Huemul lake branch to Manzano bay
Day 8 Bahía Mansa (VLA), Peninsula and Quetrihué port, Arrayanes forest, Brava bay
Day 9 Correntoso river start, Ultima esperanza lake branch and Rincón branch
Day 10 Machete branch, Southwest coast, stream and settlement Las Coloradas
Day 11 Las Coloradas, settlement La Estanzuela, Millaqueo beach
Day 12 Centinela island, N coast on Blest branch
Day 13 Blest port- South coast Blest branch - 2 Hermanas island
Day 14 Blest branch to Tristeza branch
Day 15 Tristeza branch, Lopez bay, end of the expedition
Day 16 End of our services - Transfer to airport
